GCISD residents 65 years and older are invited to attend our first Gold Card meeting of the school year at 9 a.m., Thursday, August 27, at the district’s Administration Building, 3051 Ira E. Woods Avenue, Grapevine, TX 76051.


Attendees receive the Gold Card, which grants free entry to all GCISD fine arts and athletic events (excluding playoffs). Please arrive 10 minutes early to the sessions to allow time to check-in.

What a great morning! Today is day 1 of our professional development for all new professional hires. Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams opened the event with a warm welcome, which was then followed by a number of sessions familiarizing everyone with GCISD’s mission, vision and profile of a GCISD educator. More learning will continue this afternoon and tomorrow with a focus on curriculum and instruction. GCISD Families: Starting June 10, you can access your students’ STAAR End of Course results. STAAR 3-8 results are expected to be available Tuesday, June 16. Log in to the Skyward Family Portal and click “District Links” to see results. Please check your email for additional state assessment release dates issued by the Texas Education Agency.

GCISD will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Starting Tuesday, May 26, the GCISD Administration Offices will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, closed Fridays. Summer hours continue through July.

GCISD is offering free breakfast and lunch to all children 18 and younger this summer through the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program.

📅 Dates: Monday-Friday, May 26-July 30 (Closed Friday, June 19, and Friday, July 3).
🕒 Hours: Breakfast is 8-8:30 a.m. and lunch is 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
